ITA Human anti-doping webinars for the FEI community

 

Dear National Federations,
 
The FEI Legal department has the pleasure of inviting Athletes, Athlete Support Personnel (ASP), National Federations and Event Organisers to the following webinars on human anti-doping:

  • 20 September 2023 – Webinar for the Para Equestrian community (Athletes, ASP)
  • 27 September 2023 – Webinar for Athletes (NB: this webinar will be delivered twice)
  • 28 September 2023 – Webinar for National Federations
  • 4 October 2023 – Webinar for Organising Committees

Attendance is free and registration open to all. Simultaneous translations will be available in Arabic, Chinese, French, Portuguese and Spanish. All attendees will receive a PDF of the webinar presentation, including links to the resources covered.

20 September 2023 – Webinar for the Para Equestrian community:
This webinar will cover key topics in order to help Para Equestrian athletes make sure that they compete in compliance with the anti-doping rules for humans and stay clear from unintentional doping violations:

  • The athlete’s anti-doping rights and responsibilities
  • Modifications to the doping control process 
  • Checking medications 
  • Making informed decisions about supplements 
  • Applying for a Therapeutic Use Exemption 

Athletes, as well as their support personnel, officials, parents and all involved in Para Equestrian are strongly encouraged to attend.

27 September 2023 – Webinar for Athletes:
This webinar for athletes aims to help you understand your human anti-doping rights and responsibilities so you can protect yourself and your career from unintended human anti-doping rule violations. We will also share some resources for you to access more information and education on human anti-doping, and leave time at the end of the session to answer your questions.

The webinar will be delivered twice in order to accommodate a variety of time zones:

28 September 2023 – Webinar for National Federations:
This webinar will provide NF anti-doping administrators with an overview of the NF role in human anti-doping education, which is key to help protect athletes against unintentional doping violations. The support and resources available to guide NFs in this work will be presented.

4 October 2023 – Webinar for Organising Committees
The FEI is increasing its human anti-doping presence at events – including testing and education. Organising Committees have a number of roles and responsibilities they must fulfil when these activities are requested by the FEI. This webinar, for FEI Organising Committee personnel, will outline these roles and responsibilities, including the facilities, personnel, logistics and general support necessary to successfully implement sample collection and human anti-doping education activities. Practical examples will be presented.
